Royale Theme for Windows® XP

What is Windows® XP Royale theme?
Also popular as Media Center style, Windows® XP Royale is a theme based on the graphical user interface. Released in the year 2004, the theme was targeted at Windows® Media Center desktops and Windows® XP tablet PC editions. The theme has been designed using new wallpapers and skins. Royale (also known as Energy Bliss wallpaper after being inspired by the original Bliss theme) mixes dark blue colors with the new wallpaper.
Difference between different versions
Royale theme again has two different versions – Royale Noir and Royale Zune, both taking heavily from the original Energy Blue theme. Royale Zune was the first theme to introduce a different colored ‘Start’ button, the green one in Windows® XP and the grey one in Classic theme. Both the themes, though being much darker than the previously released themes, are very much distinguishable. While Royale Zune comes with an orange ‘Start’ button, Royale Noir has a black ‘Start’ button changing into green with the mouse’s movement.
To install the Royale Noir theme on your Windows® XP desktop, you first need to go to any one of the websites that offer this theme. Once there, highlight both the Shell folder and the luna.msstyles file. After that, simply right-click any of these applications and copy them. After this, browse to the C: drive of your computer and go to ‘Windows’, ‘Resources’, and finally to ‘Themes’. Create a folder named Royale Noir and paste the copied theme into this new folder. Open the luna.msstyles file and click ‘Color Scheme’ and finally change the highlighted item to Royale Noir. These simple steps will change the look of your desktop, giving it a darker, sleeker look.
