The language interface pack (LIP) is designed for regional markets. It is used to target emerging or minority market where Windows® operating systems are used. There are different language interface packs from Windows® XP such as Catalan, Lithuanian, and Thai, Hindi, Tamil, etc. LIP requires the software to have a base language and it translate it into localized languages of the users.
