Fix Wireless Connection Problems in Windows® Vista®

Sometimes, you may find the wireless connection on your Windows Vista based system not working. It may be because of some hardware problem. If the cables are not plugged in properly, you cannot access the wireless connection. Another problem that you may face is the inability to share files or printers within the network. This problem may occur if the sharing option has not been enabled on your Windows Vista based system. If you try performing multiple downloads, the network gets congested and you cannot access wireless connection due to work overload. Another problem is the wrong installation of hardware drivers to enable the network connection. If the system security is high, you may be denied access to certain downloads from the Internet. - Turn on network discovery
- Enable the sharing option

Turn on network discovery
If you are unable to share files and folders, make sure that the network discovery is on. Click the 'Start' button and move to 'Control Panel'. Click it and you will get 'Network and Internet'. Press it and go to 'Network and Sharing Center'. Click the arrow button and get to the option, 'Turn on Network Discovery'. Then click 'Apply'. If asked to give password and confirmation, give it. The wireless problem will get solved and you will get the wireless connection on your Windows Vista based system.
Enable the sharing option
If you are facing problems in sharing files and folders through the wireless connection on your Windows Vista based PC, the reason for that is that you may have forgotten to check whether the sharing feature is enabled or not. If you have not enabled the sharing option, you will not be able to share your files and printers. To enable the sharing feature, do the following: Click the arrow button to get the 'File Sharing' option. Then, click on 'Turn on file sharing option'. Then, you can share the printers or files.
Sometimes, the drivers may not have been installed properly. The improper installation of drivers can make the wireless connection on your Windows Vista based PC ineffective. You may also face frequent disconnection problem due to this. This problem can be easily solved by reinstalling the drivers properly. Sometimes, the system may find the driver missing. If the disconnection occurs due to this problem, please update your driver. Find the driver from the 'Hardware and Sound' option in 'Control Panel'. Click it. You will get the 'Update' option. Click it and restart your computer.
