To allow Windows Vista to accept an incoming Remote Desktop connection, you have to enable the Remote Desktop tool. In order to enable Remote Desktop in Windows Vista there are three ways, by using Graphics User Interface (GUI), through Group Policy or via registry.
Select 'Start' and choose 'Control Panel' to select the system applet. Then choose 'System Properties', from that select the ‘Remote’ tab, then choose either of the two options which provides more security.
