Microsoft® Windows® had evolved the new operating system called Microsoft® Windows Vista. It is the successor to Microsoft® Windows® XP. It has an updated look from XP, which is called as “Aero” interface. The desktop, icons and toolbars are all similar to Mac® OS. The OS comes in mainly 5 editions: Windows Vista Business for business users, Windows Vista® Enterprise to meet large organization needs, Windows Vista® Home Basic to support average home users, Windows Vista® Home Premium to support home users with more security features, and Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. The OS needs to meet some minimum system requirements. It requires a processor with capacity of at least 800 MHZ, a 512 MB RAM, a 20 GB Hard drive with at least 15 GB available space, and a CD-ROM drive to install the OS. The OS acts as an interface to install new software and application. It supports the system to launch both Windows® XP and Windows Vista version of the OS. The OS is used to give your system enhanced performance with its in-built features.
