Windows® Live Mail 2009 review
Windows Live Mail 2009 is a free email client which is robust and very easy to use. The interface of the client is very attractive with a number of customization options, lighter palette etc. The launching of Windows Live Mail 2009 is very simple. The user has to just enter the personal information and then click on next and finish buttons for launching it.
Windows Live Mail 2009 is very easy to use. It uses a new feature, sync, which can be performed through the menu and toolbars of the Windows Live Mail 2009 or by making use of the function keys in optional keyboard also. Windows Live Mail 2009 contacts will support the features such as sharing printing etc. The user can also import contacts which can be in different formats like .VFC, .WAB etc.
The options which are added newly to the command bar are add to calendar and sign in to Windows Live Mail 2009 button. Other options like forward, new, reply etc are also there in the command bar of the Windows Live Mail 2009. The task pane of the Windows Live Mail 2009 is on the extreme left, message pane is in the middle and the viewing pane is on the extreme right. The contact database will support the formats such as .VFC, .WAB, .CSV etc. The processors that can be used are Intel Pentium processor with 800 or 350 MHz for Windows XP there should be a memory of 512 MB and for Windows Vista there should be 1 GB. The hard disk space available for installation of Windows Live Mail 2009 is 400MB.
- FIVE – Feeds and news groups
The feeds and newsgroups is a feature provided by the Windows Live Mail 2009. The user can subscribe the favorite websites and can receive the updates notification of that favorite subscribed websites with the RSS feeds. With the email oriented approach the user can mange those subscriptions easily by using the Windows Live Mail 2009. The feeds that are subscribed are synced and updated through the Internet Explorer.
- FOUR – Mail Pane
The mail pane has individual folders for sending, receiving and viewing messages. For accessing the messages quickly in the mail pane the user can filter the messages according to the contacts and with the help of quick views folders the user can view quick access to messages. The user can access the traditional mail inbox folder in the mail pane if the user has an account in Windows Live Mail 2009.
- THREE – Photo mail
When the user selects images from the live photo gallery library in Windows Live Mail 2009, the user will get the Windows Live Mail 2009 pop up window. The images selected can be sent through email by reducing the size of the photos to 512 K or to a maximum of 5 MB in the attach files option. The user can also add photo effects such as color border, frame etc.
- TWO – Storage folder
The storage folder feature in Windows Live Mail 2009 is a repository and it is for the folders and emails that are created by the user, other data, accounts and news groups. The storage folders are very useful in backup purposes such as transferring the messages to other system. This storage folder will be seen in the Mail pane.
- ONE – Calendar
The calendar interface in the Windows Live Mail 2009 will deliver the same functionality of Windows calendar. There are options for quickly accessing the date calendar in the navigation pane which includes options for creating calendars and groups. In the calendar interface the user can view the information according to date, week, month, work week etc. The calendar interface is automatically synced when the user starts the Windows Live mail 2009.
Windows Live Mail 2009 is a free email client which uses sync feature to send and receive messages and also for updating the RSS feeds.
