Then you would get a window and from that you need to select ‘Administrative tools’ and choose the option ‘Active Directory Sites and Services’. From the ‘Active Directory Sites and Services’ window you need to select the domain controller and choose the ‘properties’ button. Then you need to click on the intersite transport and choose ‘Add’ button which helps to make the selected domain controller to preferred bridgehead server.
Configuring connections to Forest
You need to configure connect icons to Forest. For performing that process you need to select ‘Start’ and choose the ‘Programs’. You need to select ‘Administrative Tools’ open the option ‘Active Directory Sites and Services’. It would open Active Directory Sites and Services window and from that you need to choose ‘Active Directory Sites and Services’ icon and select the option ‘Connect to Forest’. Then in the root domain box, you need type the root domain of the first domain tree.
In order to connect to domain controller, you have to choose the option 'Active Directory Sites and Services’ for connecting to domain controller. In order to perform this process you need to select ‘Administrative Tools’ by choosing the Start option and navigating the ‘Program’ option. Then you would get the Active Directory Sites and Services window and right clicking on 'Active Directory Sites and Services' icon you need to select 'Connect to Domain Controller'. You need to enter the domain name of the particular domain controller in the 'Domain' text box for which you want to connect.
