Automatic page break in Microsoft® Excel

To print a worksheet with the accurate number of pages that you desire, you can change the page breaks in the worksheet before printing it. Page break is the divider that splits a worksheet into different pages for printing. Microsoft Excel adds automatic page breaks according to the paper size, margin settings, scaling options, and the positions of any manual page breaks that you insert. Page break Preview is used to adjust page breaks so that you can see how other changes that you make affect the automatic page breaks. You can see how a change that you make to the row height and column width affects the placement of the automatic page breaks. To adjust page breaks, you can insert your own page breaks, move existing page breaks, or delete any manually-inserted page breaks. You can also quickly reset all page breaks to automatic page breaks. After you finish working with page breaks, you can return to Normal view.

Insert a page break
In order to add page break you need to click the worksheet that you need to print. On the View tab, in the Workbook Views group you need to click Page Break Preview. After that you need to add a vertical page break or horizontal page break and select the row below or column to the right where you want to insert the page break. You need to select Page Setup from Page Layout tab and click on Break. Finally you need to select Insert Page Break.
Move a page break
To enable dragging of page breaks to other position in a worksheet you need to make sure that the cell drag-and-drop feature is enabled. You need to select the worksheet that you need to print. On the View tab, in the Workbook Views group, click Page Break Preview. In order to move a page break, drag the page break to a new location.
To delete page break you need to click the worksheet that you need. You need to select Page Break Preview on the View tab selected from Workbook Views group. Then you need to click the manual page break that you want to delete. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group you need to click Breaks and click Remove Page Break.
