Office 2016-Expected to Release on September 2015
Microsoft never fails to be raved about. While the advent of Windows 10 as the latest operating system from Microsoft is still trending, the speculations about the Microsoft Office 2016 release is going on after a leaked memo. If the rumor is to be believed, the expected release date of Office 2016 is on September 22, 2015, though nothing has been confirmed by the company.
The latest productivity suite by Microsoft is loaded with new features and updates. Yet, as confirmed by Julia White, Microsoft’s Office General Manager, the soon-to-be launched office suite will continue to provide a familiar comprehensive Office experience, best suitable for PC with a keyboard and mouse.
Office 2016 will be endorsing a fresher and brighter interface. It will be more colorful and will have bright colored theme options. One of the major changes in Office 2016 from its predecessors is that it allows real-time co-authoring within the desktop version, which was previously available for web apps only.
Microsoft has also released Office 2016 for Mac in July, 2015. It comes with some modern changes and has a fresh UI. Office 2016 for Mac which comes with five apps-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and One Note has been getting positive reviews.
Another important thing that Microsoft has already cleared is that the users will be expected to have Office 365 subscriptions before they would be able to get the Office 2016 download on their systems. The reason being, Microsoft will be sending updates for Office 2016 along with the Office 365 updates.
The Office 2016 Preview version is available for free and can be used for 60 days. Though the actual price for Office 2016 is not confirmed, the stand-alone version may cost you around $145 for an "Office Home & Student 2016" edition. The preview version is available for download.
