Microsoft Releases the Cheapest Internet-Connected Feature Phone–Nokia 512
Microsoft and Nokia’s sweet and sour tussle is never going to end. It became obvious with Microsoft launching the Nokia 215 – the cheapest internet-connected feature phone. This move by Microsoft clearly states that it has not yet abandoned the feature phones carrying Nokia brand, despite recently dropping the Nokia brand for its smartphone line.
Nokia 215 – the latest member of Microsoft’s series 30+ features phone family –also carries a few smartphone characteristics along with the trademark Lumia. The feature phone costs just $29, excluding taxes and subsidies and thus, is considered the best phone for those who want a second phone.
The Nokia 215 has been launched with an aim to win the hearts of extra billion people looking for cheapest yet feature-filled internet-connected phone. The 2G device includes features like – Facebook, Messenger, Bing Search, Twitter, and the pre-installed Opera Mini browser. The most amazing part of the device – it does come with microSD support, which is expandable up to 32GB. The 215’s list of features also includes - a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD display at 320 by 240 pixels, 8MB RAM, Bluetooth 3.0, and FM Radio. The device will be available in Lumia colors – bright green, black and white.
The Nokia 215 feature-enriched phone by Microsoft will hit the markets of Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East in the first quarter of this year.
