Help for Microsoft® Publisher
Microsoft® Publisher or Microsoft® Office Publisher is a desktop publishing application developed by Microsoft®. This application is different from Microsoft Word. In Microsoft® Word, focus is on text composition but in Microsoft® Publisher emphasis is on page layout and design.
The tool enables you to publish your web site in a folder on your hard disk. After this, you can send this folder and its contents as an e-mail attachment. You can also save it to a floppy disk, so that others can look at the content. In this way, you can create a website from your publication. Save Publisher Publication as a Word document
You can easily save and view your Publisher publication as a Word document. You can use following methods for this task.
You have to paste your publication as a picture and then save that picture as a Word document. As an alternative you have to export the text in your publication and then save the text as a Word document. For exporting the text in your publication follow these steps:
Start Microsoft® Publisher and then open that publication which you want to save in Word. After this, on the File menu, click on Save As. When you had performed this, then in the Save As dialog box, you have to determine a location where you want to save the file.
After this, you have to type a name for the text in the File name box. In the Save as, type box, click on the file format which is best for your version of Microsoft® Word.
The file type you selected only supports text. It does not support graphics or drawing objects. You have to click OK for saving only the text of this publication. If you want to save the entire publication, then click Cancel and select the Publisher (.pub) file type. Then click OK to save the text of your publication as a Word document (.doc). After this you have to start Word. On the File menu, click on Open. Then you have to locate the file that you had saved and click on Open. If you want to paste your publication as a picture, then follow these steps
Start Microsoft® Publisher and then open the publication that you want to save in Word. Then click on Select All on the Edit menu. After this, click on Copy on the Edit menu. When you had performed this, then start Microsoft® Word and then open a new blank document. After that, on the Edit menu, click on Paste Special. In the Paste Special dialog box, click Picture and then click on OK.
