Microsoft® Clip Gallery
Microsoft® Clip Gallery comes as a clip library in Microsoft Office suite. If you use this clip gallery, then you can make your presentations more attractive. You can use this clip gallery in Microsoft® PowerPoint®, Microsoft® Excel® and Microsoft Word. If you have recently upgraded productivity suite from Microsoft® Word 2000 to Microsoft® Word 2002, then you will notice that Microsoft® Clip Gallery is not present for organizing clip art, but Clip Organizer will perform this work. You can use the following steps to use Clip Gallery:
Step 1: After opening your document, you have to place cursor at that place where you want to insert the clip art
Step 2: Then from the Insert menu, select Object. After this, Object dialog box will appear.
Step 3: From the Object type list, select the Microsoft® Clip Gallery option. After that, click OK.
Microsoft® Clip Gallery on a Windows® Terminal Server
When you will install Microsoft® Clip Gallery on a Windows® Terminal Server, then it will be used by only one user at a time. But the Clip Gallery database will be shared among all users. If multiple users will access the Clip Gallery, then some error will happen.
While installing Microsoft® Clip Gallery you have to take care in modifying the registry. You have to take back up, before you modify the registry and then have to reinstall your operating system. In case, you are running a Microsoft® Terminal Server session on a Novell network and using the Novell 32-bit network client, then you can face some problem in Clip Gallery.
If you want to solve the problem with Clip Gallery, then install an updated Novell 32-bit network client. But the best method will be to install Microsoft® Client for NetWare Networks and remove Novell 32-bit network client. After installation of Microsoft® Client for NetWare Networks, you have to follow these steps:
Step 1:Â Start Microsoft® Word. Then click on Start and select Run.
Step 2: In the Run dialog box, click Browse. Find and pick out the Artgalry.exe file.
Step 3: After this, click Open to close the Browse dialog box.
Step 4: Then you have to click OK to close the Run dialog box. Due to this Clip Gallery will be automatically configured in your terminal server session.
Step 5:Â When the following message appears, do not click OK. This dialog box should remain open. Clip Gallery is now configured to run on your computer.
Step 6:Â Press ALT+TAB to switch back to Microsoft Word.
Step 7: Then on the Insert menu, point to Picture and then click Clip Art and select OK to close the dialog box
Step 8: In the Clip Gallery, you can now chose and insert the clip art that you want.
